Last week at BancTec’s Dallas headquarters we celebrated the company’s founding in 1972 with a Retro Day 40th anniversary bash. Employees came dressed in their best ’70s wear, ready to commemorate BancTec’s decades of success.
Now a global leader in business process outsourcing (BPO), BancTec was founded by Merle Volding and has its roots in the banking industry. BancTec initially offered an automated check processing solution for mutilated checks, from the start growing its technology and expertise in financial transaction automation.
Forty years later, BancTec provides outsourcing solutions for financial transaction and document management processes across the healthcare, banking, insurance, manufacturing, government and utilities sectors.
Our anniversary celebration included a barbecue picnic, ’70s tunes, ice cream, raffles and a photo booth. Chuck Corbin emceed a special game in honor of CEO Coley Clark called “Win Coley Clark’s Money.” Employees won by correctly answering questions surrounding ’70s pop culture and BancTec’s history.
Founder Merle Volding was in attendance, making the day even more special. Volding congratulated the entire BancTec team for their hard work, dedication and success. Volding agreed that BancTec’s 40 years in business is worth celebrating, but it’s the 40 years of experience that matters.
